Health and Safety Policy for all OAC sites.

 

It is the policy of OAC to adhere to strict guidelines regarding the protection of players whilst on any Okami Airsoft Club site. These rules are not designed to hinder your enjoyment, but to limit the chances of any participating player sustaining any injury whilst on site.

 

It is the policy of Okami Airsoft Club to ensure the site on which individuals play on is free from defect concerning all man made structures and/or obstacles. It is not however the policy of OAC, it's affiliates and members to accept liability for accidents and/or damages caused through the fault of the individual and/or any natural obstacle not placed there by OAC.

It is required that all players before commencement of play on any Okami Airsoft Site be read, and to have understood the rules pertaining to both playing the game and physical contact.

Players who have any medical condition relating to the following MUST inform the OAC staff in the first instance.

If you suffer from any of the above, we may have to exclude you from any games held on our sites for the purposes of your health and well-being. It is in your best interests to advise us of any condition (including that of the above) that may hinder you and place you and/or others at risk on our sites. Those that suffer with Asthma may be allowed to play depending upon the severity of you condition. For those being allowed to play, you must keep your inhaler on your person at all times, preferably in your top left hand pocket of your shirt, or in the left hand pocket of your trousers. This also applies to any other medication may need to carry with you.

It is a requirement that all players on site read, understand and sign a Disclaimer/Waiver before playing on any of our sites. Players must also inform us of the players Next Of Kin in case of any arising emergency that requires hospital treatment and a Next Of Kin to authorise said treatment.

Players who use their own kit will be subject to a chronograph check. All R.I.F's must not fire above 328 feet per second (+ 4%). Any R.I.F. that exceeds this limit will not be allowed for use on any of our sites. All chronograph checks are carried out with .20g BB's.

No player may make physical contact with another player at any time unless it is within the parameters of the game and any rules for any game (this does not include the use of the 'Medic Rule'.) players found to have assaulted any player or member of staff will be reported immediately to the police.

Players may use pyrotechnics on our sites, but these items may not exceed the use of Mk5 flashbangs / pyro. It is a requirement that all players have read and understood the manufacturers guidelines before the use of any combustible or exploding device. Players MUST NOT return to any pyrotechnical device which has failed.

Any face/eye protection used by players on our sites must be checked and tested by our trained staff before the use of any safety equipments on our sites.

Players may not bring onto site with them any alcohol, illegal drugs or sharp objects, including that of hypodermic needles, knives etc. Players found to have in their possession any restricted object or substance will be escorted from the site with immediate effect.

Players may not use rounds that are Teflon coated or contain aluminium.

Players below the age of 18 yrs must wear full head protection when playing on any OAC site. Children below the age of 14 yrs may not play on our sites. Players below the age of 18 yrs must have with them at all times a responsible adult (a parent or authorised guardian).

Laser pointing devices may be used, but players using such devices MUST NOT point any laser at or toward another players eyes.

Players may not remove from their face any safety equipment used for the purposes of Airsoft on our sites during the course of any game without the supervision of either a OAC team member, or a member of the Site Staff.

Players must not deface or wilfully damage the gaming arena / Site.

Any person found to be breaking either our Site Rules or H&S Policy may be escorted from site with immediate effect. It is in your best interests to abide by the rules at all times.

The decision's made by the site DS (Direction Staff) are final in all instances and not open to argument or appeal.
